Quote by Jean Piaget

“The principle goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive and discoverers, who can be critical and verify, and not accept, everything they are offered.”

  1. Justine,

This quote you selected by Piaget says a lot about what it take to be an educator. We as educators do more than just teach children the curriculum we are given. We help the children grow and develop skills that are needed for them to succeed not only in school but also outside of school. There is more to teaching children than history and what other educators in the past of taught children. They are growing up in a different kind of society and it is up to the educators to help children in different ways than in the past. Thank you for the post.
